Everything about what Sled Dog costs and how the supporter tier works. If your question isn't here, Contact us in the avatar menu reaches a real person.
Is it free to run my party on Sled Dog?
Yes. Running one party as GM is free, forever, with every feature that party needs — characters, moves, inventory, followers, arcana, the steading, the travel map, and community content. Nothing is time-limited and we don't ask for a card.
Joining someone else's table as a player is always free and unlimited. The cap is only on tables you run.
What if I want to run more than one party?
That's the supporter tier. It lifts the one-party cap and adds three things:
- A Content Library that carries your custom moves, items, arcana, and followers across every party you run.
- An image gallery — upload maps, portraits, and handouts to a party, organize them in folders, and reveal each one when the moment comes. Players see the cards you've revealed, not the ones you're still holding back.
- Reusable party defaults, so a new table starts already set up instead of walking the wizard again.
Both paid tiers also come with a sampler of print-ready Stonetop PDFs — illustrated modules from our own line, listed by name on your supporter page the moment you pay. Access earned by tipping doesn't include them.
Content packs we sell are a separate purchase — supporter access doesn't include them.
To subscribe: sign in, open the avatar menu in the top-right, and choose Support Us. You'll see the current options and prices there.
What's the difference between the annual and Founding supporter tiers?
Both unlock exactly the same features and the same PDF sampler. What differs is how you pay and how long it lasts.
Annual supporter is a yearly subscription. It renews until you cancel, and you can cancel whenever you like. The PDFs stay on your supporter page while the subscription is active, so download a copy of each to keep.
Founding Supporter is a single payment rather than a subscription. It grants supporter access for as long as Sled Dog runs as a hosted service, and its PDFs stay yours whatever happens afterwards. We avoid the word "lifetime" on purpose — it's a promise about the service, not a guarantee that any hosted app runs forever, and the terms set out exactly what we do promise, including the notice you'd get if we ever wound it down.
Founding Supporter is a limited offer. Once the window closes there's no route into that tier at any price, and the annual subscription is the way in.
I'm an annual supporter. Can I switch to Founding?
Yes, while the founding window is open. Open Support Us in the avatar menu and you'll be offered the upgrade at a discount that credits the year you've already paid for — you don't pay twice for time you already have.
Your subscription stops renewing once you upgrade, and nothing lapses in between: you keep the access you've paid for and it simply becomes permanent.
How do I cancel?
Avatar menu → your supporter status (the line just above Support Us), then the account button on that page. It reads Manage your supporter account most of the time, and Renew Your Subscription when you're close to your renewal date — either one opens the same customer portal at Polar, our payment provider, where you can cancel, update your payment method, and find your invoices.
Cancelling stops the renewal — it doesn't cut you off. Supporter access runs to the end of the period you've already paid for. Nothing is deleted when it ends: the parties you built are still there and still run. What you lose is the ability to start a new one beyond the free table — or to restore an archived one — until you subscribe again.
A Founding Supporter purchase has nothing to cancel. It was one payment, so nothing recurs.
If what you want is a refund rather than a cancellation, there's a no-questions window for that — the terms have the detail, and Contact us in the avatar menu is how to ask. If you're leaving altogether rather than dropping to the free tier, Your data covers taking your characters and notes with you, and closing the account.
Supporting Sled Dog buys a bigger table, not a better one. Every rule, every sheet, and every feature your one free party needs is in the free party.
