The Fox

The Fox — the bundled class portrait

A cunning trickster and thief who wins by wit, guile, and working every angle. The Fox is a light class on the sheet — most of what makes them work is fiction — but there are a few places where Sled Dog carries real weight.

Your background's grant

  • The Natural — the standard start.
  • A Life of Crime — you pick one extra move during creation. Sled Dog offers the choice in the wizard and adds whichever you take to your Moves tab.
  • The Prodigal Returned — see the background text on your Character tab; it carries detail worth re-reading mid-campaign.

Anything a background gave you carries a badge on the Moves tab, so you can tell it apart from what you chose.

Special possessions

You pick two. Most of the Fox's are toolkits, and each unpacks into its contents on your Inventory tab rather than sitting there as a single word:

  • Burglar's kit — the tools, as a labelled item you can actually reference
  • Carpenter's tools, Scribe's tools, Mummer's kit
  • Distillery, Tannery — production holdings back at the steading
  • Hidden stash — worth writing into its notes where it is
  • Trade contacts — a holding, not a person; the contacts themselves belong on your Followers tab if any of them become real people in play

What you've stolen

There's no special "loot" area — swiped goods are just inventory. Two habits make that work well:

  1. Use the notes field. Tap ⋯ on an item and record where it came from and who'll miss it. That's the detail that pays off three sessions later.
  2. Watch your Load. The Fox lives on being unencumbered — the Load meters at the top of the Inventory tab show your band at a glance, and everything you pocket counts.

For something you invented rather than took from the catalogue, use Manage → Custom on the Inventory tab. If your GM has a supporter account, a custom item can be saved to the Content Library and re-used at every table they run.

Nothing on the Fox's sheet stops you from carrying more than you should. That's a feature — but keep an eye on the Load band before the escape route matters.
