Your characters, your notes, and the campaign material you've written are yours. Here's how to take them with you, or to close the account entirely. For what we hold about you and why, see the Player FAQ and the Privacy page.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Avatar menu → Settings → Your data → Download my data (JSON). That hands you a single file containing everything in your account — characters, notes, and the campaign material you've made.
You don't need to ask us for it and you don't need a reason. It's a plain text file, so you can read it, keep it as a backup, or move it somewhere else.
How do I delete my account?
Same place: avatar menu → Settings → Your data → Delete my account. It removes your profile, your sign-in, and the content you own.
Deleting is immediate and it can't be undone, so take the download above first if there's anything you want to keep.
What happens to my party if I delete my account?
That's your call, table by table. For each one you run that has other people in it, the confirmation screen asks what should happen to it:
- Hand it over to a member you pick — they become the GM. Only members with room on their own plan can be picked; if everyone here is already running a party of their own, the screen tells you and leaves you the option below instead.
- Leave it for the players — it keeps running, and any member can claim it once they have room on their own plan.
- Delete the party — destructive, and it says so: it tells you how many people lose their characters before you confirm.
Say nothing and a table is left standing, never deleted. Your own characters go with you either way.
Sign-in is passwordless, so there's no password of yours for us to store — or to lose.
